What an index is
An index is a structured map from terms and metadata to documents. Before a search result can be found, pages need to be fetched, parsed, classified, and stored in a searchable structure.
Manual
IndexFi turns the indexing process into an on-chain instrument over several phases. This build implements Phase 1 only: a genuine local browser workload and clearly labeled previews for future token and treasury systems.
An index is a structured map from terms and metadata to documents. Before a search result can be found, pages need to be fetched, parsed, classified, and stored in a searchable structure.
Phase 1 uses bundled public-style documents. A Web Worker normalizes text, removes common stop words, extracts terms, assigns categories, builds an inverted index, and runs sample searches locally.
VIU means Verified Index Unit. In Phase 1 it is a provisional local score: floor((documents processed + terms extracted / 100 + test queries completed * 5) / 100).
$INDEX is planned as the launch token for access and verification. Phase 1 includes a mock token-gating adapter only; no balance checks or approvals are live. Token details will be added after deployment.
The launch treasury is planned around GOOG stock-token rewards. Claims are not live until treasury contracts, stock-token support, and legal availability are confirmed.
Tokenized stocks may provide economic exposure without ordinary shareholder ownership, voting rights, or the protections users may associate with holding shares directly.
IndexFi is independent and is not affiliated with Google, Alphabet, MetaMask, Robinhood, or any stock issuer referenced by the reward pair.
